Whether you're selling a product or service, cheap outdoor advertising is the key to getting your message across. Not only will cheap outdoor advertising to be effective in getting you and your product noticed, but it can increase your chances of making a sale as well.
The key to cheap outdoor advertising is doing it, where there are no weather conditions that would interfere with the placement of your ads. Weather does a lot to influence the outcome of a sales pitch. Take, for example, how cold it can make a sidewalk on a bitterly cold day.
When it is cold, people tend to avoid being around other people. They also tend to not want to spend more time outdoors, due to the cold.
In fact, having people avoid other people and going out of their way to avoid spending time outside can make the difference between a qualified prospect and an unqualified one. It is the cold temperature that makes the difference in whether or not a person will stay in the store and wait for the sales person, or if they will go home and stay in with a friend.
And if they have a friend, there is a very good chance that they are keeping them warm. If the friend is too far away, or too busy, the sales pitch will never make it to the target customer.

If you plan to use outdoor advertising in a low-light atmosphere, this is even more critical. To compensate for the light, some companies use a yellowish tint to their ads.
A yellowish tint is not easy to see in low-light environments. And when your best prospects are out in the dark, they are much less likely to respond to your pitch.

Text-on-the-sidewalks advertising usually starts out with a very bright yellow color. That helps keep the eye of a visitor glued to your spot, which will increase your chances of selling something.
Then you can switch to the slightly darker green, or orange, depending on the product you're advertising. This gives the visitor a choice as to whether or not they want to buy the product.
If it's an office building, the bright green area might be overused, so it's probably not a good idea to put up a bright green area all the time. But, when it's a cafe or a park, it can help to focus a visitor's attention on a certain product, if it's one that is popular in the area.
Cheap outdoor advertising can be effective, especially if you know how to use it properly. It can also help you get the word out about your business or products.
